It's time to be frank.

I miss the following: quiet time in the car, make up (like a WHOLE face of make up), quiet bathroom time, taking my time to cook a gourmet meal, eating said meal over no set period of time, wearing clean clothes, time at the gym, sleep, deep sleep, light sleep, ANY SLEEP, watching grown up tv, spending money on me, high heels, craft time, concerts, time alone with my husband, a clean house, shopping, girl time, sitting down to read a magazine, long hot uninterrupted baths, pedicures, nights with chad in the hammock dreaming about our future, car rides that do not involve Elmo, Bob and Larry, any cartoon for that matter, perfume, silence, going into the grocery store and getting exactly what I need in less than ten minutes, and so much more.  Being a Mommy is tough.  Being a Mommy to three kids at once is REALLY tough.  Granting myself the grace to be ok with missing all of those things might be hardest of all. It is a work in progress people.  But at the end of the day, I am so in love with this life and I wouldn't trade it for the world.Look at these faces - seriously.

Back in the saddle again...

Hello you all.  It has been quite an exciting few months in the Chalos house - which is why we have neglected writing for a bit.  In a nutshell, we added a FIFTH member to the Chalos house.  He got really sick. Life got a little crazy.  Sleeping, eating, and time became very LIMITED to almost non existent.  Then life began to settle.  We began to figure out how to be parents to three kids (in four months).  We are still figuring it out.  Every Day.  But since I am WAY limited on blogging time these days - I thought I might give you a glimpse into the last three months via photo.  So here you go.
Etta started school! (Can you tell how excited she was?)
Harrison Grey Chalos arrived on January 31st - 7lb 11 oz - 21 3/4 inches
Etta meeting Harri for the first time.  It was love at first sight.

The Chalos Party of Five is leaving the building!!
Wendy Hardin Photography captured our three miracles in such a beautiful way!!!!

At home with the baby - They LOVE each other!!!

We spent a few days at Vanderbilt being very sick.
Then we got all better!!!!
We played with our friends.  (Photo Courtesy of B. Koehn - Cute Kids courtesy of
Laura Minter, Brittany Koehn, and Wendy Hardin - OH and the Chalos' of course.)

This sweet boy is rocking on the guitar.
This sweet boy learned to sleep for four hours AND learned to SMILE.

Last but not least - We got to visit with Gigi and Papou!!!!
So there you have it.  Our last few months in pictures.  One of my very wise Mommy friends wrote to me and said "The days are long, but the years are fast."  That is SO incredibly true.  My - how the time passes.  Today, we had our six month visit with our social worker.  It reminded me how very much our sweet kids have grown and changed in the best ways possible.  There isn't one day that I am not incredibly grateful for the story that God is weaving for the Chalos family.

Hopefully I will find time for an update before three months from now, but if I don't - I am not ignoring you.  I am just a little busy loving and cherishing this life I have been blessed with.

Blessings,
Kristle
