We have some news.

If you are reading this blog, chances are you 1. have played a tremendous role in our lives and are following our journey OR 2. You found our blog in your search about adoption.   Either way - we are so happy to be able to share our journey with you!

We are beginning this blog because we have exciting news about God’s amazing plan – which is truly bigger and better than any blueprint we could ever create!  Since we met and began talking about our family, we have always discussed and felt led in the area of adoption.  If you have spent much time talking with us about our future , you already know this. J However, our “plan” was to have a child first, then adopt.  We recently read this quote – “if you want to make God laugh, then tell him your plans.”  We are coming to realize how very true this is!   As we have taken many steps, endless tests, uncertain attempts, we have struggled with each decision.  (We will blog later about our history of infertility.)  In our last attempt at controlling this situation, we were given, what we believe, is a wake up call.  We decided to take a step back and pray once again for God’s will to come to fruition.  During this time, an acquaintance recommended a book for us to read on adoption titled Adopted for Life.  What a beautiful book about how we are all adopted into the family of God!  It also chronicles one family’s journey to adoption.  In the past months and weeks, God has shown us his amazing Grace. We are in awe of the peace that comes with the right decision for our lives.  We are excited to announce, that decision is ADOPTION!!! We are so excited to begin this journey.  It has the possibility to be a long, tough path – but we know with God’s guidance and prayers – that he will lead our child home.  We hope that you will join us in praying for our child.  We hope that you will be excited with us.  We pray that you will hang in there with us as we wait.  Because adoption is an expensive but amazing opportunity, we will be embarking on a fundraising campaign in the upcoming months.  We would love any ideas and help in this area.  We will kick start our campaign by having a yard sale in May.  There will be more information as we finalize plans.  Also, if you look to your left, you will see a donate button.  You can click on that button and use paypal to safely make a donation to bring Baby Chalos home.
